Two Great Templates and Kits Scrapped....

I was so happy to get time to scrap these two pages.  One is of our village under our tree and I LOVE the colors of this kit.  I don't think I've ever see a Christmas kit with these colors... loved scrapping with it and I used two more templates by Roadside Designs.... aaaah I love scrapping with templates... really takes a lot of the stress out of the memory keeping.  You know I love being creative but when you use a template.  You can still enjoy creating but it's so much more FUN!

I used Snowberry Punched Up by Kiki Halbert in both of the below layouts HERE IS A LINK and a peak at that great kit

and I used two of the templates from this set.  HERE IS A LINK go ahead a try her templates... I think you'll love them as much as I do... here's a peak at them....

and here are the two layouts I made.....

Hope you've enjoyed a peek inside some of my scrapping.  Until I blog again...... Believe

Still scrapping through cancer treatments!

I'm still at it.  I must admit though this chemo treatment (his 4th this go-round) so far has been better on him the the last one.  Thank goodness we'll not have another until after the first of the year.  So I'm thinking he's going to have a good Christmas!  Between scrapping and making Christmas gifts I've enjoyed the season.  So I have a couple of layouts to show you today.  Both were created with the kit Sweet Emotion by KDesigns.  I like her designs.  I'm only a guest CT but I'm hoping to stay on with her.  I had a chance to sign on as a permanent but I wasn't sure I could handle being on 3 designers of kits and 2 designers of templates but it seems to be going well.  So enough babble.  Let me show you my first layout... before I do let me give you links to the kit and template I used.

Here's the LINK to that kit... Sweet Emotion... isn't it soft and pretty? and here's the pack of templates that I used one of... they are soooooo awesome.
and here is the LINK to these templates they are designed by Roadside Designs (LOVE her templates!)... take my word for it... templates are the way to go.  They just make a layout so easy and you can move items around and enlarge... etc...

and here's my layout.  It's of my Great Nieces - Casey and Destiny... did I mention I had twin Aunts and TWO sets of twin Great Nieces!  You'll be see all of them in upcoming layouts.

and my last layout I used this set of templates by Roadside Designs here is the LINK to go snag them... and my last layout of the day.

That's all I have for today.  Happy Scrapping until I blog again.

Scrapping those memories!

I've been scrapping those memories.  I have 4 layouts but I'll show you two today and 2 on the 15th and hopefully I'll have more soon.  Keith is having his next chemo treatment tomorrow.  I usually scrap more the first two weeks after his chemo treatment because I don't get far from him... he's usually pretty ill.  So I pass my time as a caregiver scrapping all the memories I have.

Here's the kit I scrapped with this last week.  It's got a nice winter "feel" to it but is very versatile.  So don't think you have to use it for winter scenes... there is a world of possibilities...  here a LINK and here's a sneak peak....

and here's my first layout.  I used a great template from Roadside Designs.  LOVE this woman's templates.  Nice and clean! Here's a LINK I used the 8 1/2 x 11 templates but they also come in 12 x 12 templates.

My last layout is just a simple one because I was so moved by the flags on Veterans Day in Trion, GA I HAD to scrap about them.  No template was used... just the Lovely Winter Kit

Hope you all have a great evening and get lots of scrapping done.... Until I post again.... Believe

I love scrapping!

When you have an idea in your head, photos, a great kit and the icing is an awesome template... scapping just falls right into place don't you think?  OH I do... Let me show you the kit I just finished using and the template pack.. I'll even link you up.  You might want to jump on some of the great deals out there in digi-land....

Here's the kit... It's called Winter In Paris by Kreen Kreation and here's the link  and look at how pretty it is.

and this is the template pack used.  It's Trail Map Collection 1 by Roadside Designs... I LOVE her templates... nice and simple... not crammed packed full... I've found that a lot of scrappers... well... their photos get lost in all their elements... I like the photos to shine... I figure THAT'S what the memory I'm scrapping is about... not the elements... the elements are suppose to ADD to the layout not diminish the layouts... but maybe that's just me... but I'm loving working with Roadside Designs templates.... here's a link this is the link to the 12 x 12 templates on my layouts I used her 8 1/2 x 11 templates.

That's all I have for today.  I'm working on another layout... it's open in my PS right now... so I'll be back soon... but until I do happy scrapping and remember to believe.

Scrapping my way through chemo treatments

Now that's an ODD title isn't it?  I'll explain.  My Husband is under going chemotherapy treatment for cancer that has metastasized to his lungs.  There are MANY days I can't leave him because he's to ill (like today) and go to the gym -- which is one of my ways to decompress.  My at home way to decompress is to SCRAPBOOK... to scrap all those memories of ours and our families.

Of course I digital scrapbook.  I love it and I'm hooked... I always loved paper scrapbooking but digital scrapping... is more economical and if I make a big huge mistake... I just fix it instead of throwing the sheet away and starting again.  What I like to do is print out the scrapbook page (on photo paper) I created digitally and then I also create a page that has matching paper from the kit I'm using and print that out on card stock. That way if I have souvenirs that go with the page... like programs, ticket stubs... you know stuff like that... I have a place that matches my page to glue them... SO when you open my scrapbook... You'll see on the left -- my souvenir page and on the right will be the digital scrapbook page.  Kind of the best of both worlds... don't you think?

So would you like to see what I've been working on?  I KNEW you would... so here goes...

I used the Springdipity kit created by Kiki Halbert... HERE IS A LINK to go snap it up at a great price and this is what it looks like... pretty isn't it?

to make this an easy NO STRESS page I used a templete created by Roadside Designs... from her Trail Map Collection 1.... HERE IS A LINK -- go check out these awesome templates.  Simple and clean... just lovely... I used the 8 1/2in x 11in templates on this layout (I've found it easier to find places that I can print out my digital scrap page) BUT her templates also come in the 12in x 12 in size... you are really going to love these...

So what did I create?  It's a page about my Niece (Kellie) and her first water fall (look how close she was to the edge!... she kept saying... Aunt L... can I get closer... I was about to have a heart attack as it was so it was a resounding NO!)

I hope you join me and scrap your life.  It goes bye so very fast... you should not miss a moment of it.

Busy but having SO much fun

I've been really enjoying myself.  I've participated in two challenges at Funky Playground.  The template challenge and the A to Z workshop.  I have some really fun layouts to share....

let's start with this one.....

 and
I'm making an album for Kellie of our hike at Cloudland (I might make her a few albums of her entire summer with us... I haven't decided yet... I noticed when she was here she would pull down my scrapbooks and look at them).  I created them with The Childlike Joy kit and free add on by Kreen Kreations here's a LINK (I also used Fiddle Dee Dee Designs templates).

I just finished this one

I created this with the Kit - My Girl - designed by Recherché by KH Designs here's a LINK and the template was designed by Little Green Frog Designs

This layout was made for the November Template Challenge at Funky Playground

I also created this next layout with the kit My Girl designed by Recherche by KH Designs here's a link and the template was designed by Fiddle Dee Dee Designs

Well I'm off to scrap some more before I go to bed... I want to create another one with the My Girl kit.  It reminds me of Kellie.

Happy scrapping until I blog again.

I love fall - don't you?

It's my favorite time of year.  It's cool but not COLD... it's not stark like winter but has some of the richest most vibrant colors of the year... aaaaahhhh I love it and I love THIS next kit almost as much... it let me scrap some of my fall photos that I took from my front door and is versatile enough that I also used it to scrap a summer photo as well.

I worked this last week with a kit from Kreen Kreations called Colors of Autumn here's a LINK where it just happens to be 50% off... did you miss that?  50% off.... here's a preview

and here's my layouts....

That's all I have for today.  See you next time...

It's a HUGE freebie

I got to work with a really nice kit full of warm sensual colors and guess what?  It's Free!  So you can try out Kreen Kreations work.  Don't miss out... it's a full kit.  It has 13 papers and 80 elements!  Look \/ that's the preview and here is the link
Here are my two layouts... don't forget it's free right now... don't miss out.

As you can tell... I'm a little outside of the box again.  It's called Tragic Opera... but I used it to express my feelings to my husband.  I used each of these layouts as one of my "daily emails" to my husband during his journey with cancer... so you see... it's a versatile kit... just waiting on you :)

Winds Of Change

Don't you LOVE the name of this kit?  I sure do... and just wait until you buy and download it... you're going to love it even more.  Here is a LINK to really great kit

As always.  I so enjoy scrapping with Kiki's kits.  Unlike many designers.  She gives you something to journal ON.  Many don't.  I like to journal.  I learned that from my Niece Carolyn -- here is her gallery at our site and here is her scrapping blog.  I remember when Carolyn first ushered me into digital scrapping.  She said something like "Auntie... do it like you would a normal scrapbook".  It's for your memories.  She's right... what is a scrapbook without words.

Would you like to see my layouts?  I hope so because that's what is next :)

Hope you enjoyed my layouts as much as I enjoyed creating them.  Thanks to Kiki for allowing me to scrap with her kits.

Something different

I tried something a little different with this kit I worked with this week.  It's called Mariposa and it's has some of the loveliest shades of blues and lots of flowers and greenery... I LOVE greenery in a digital kit don't you?

Well I've always been one for inspirational quotes, poems and such and you see so many of them just typed out and I thought... I bet you could make a nice layout for an inspirational quote... I thought I did very well for my first try.  I think from now on I'm going to either do 1 layout with an inspirational quote or a make a facebook profile photo banner instead of just 2 layouts..... I have to see if the designers don't mind that...

so did you want to see Mariposa?  I bet you do... and before I forget... it's on sale right now!

isn't that cute?  Here is where you can snag it  LINK and LINK and here's my first layout.

and here is the second one

Well that's all I have for today.... Happy scrapping until I blog again and remember.... to Believe

Dance the night away....

I've got to admit I really enjoy being on Kreen Kreations creative team.  She is a prolific designer for one and two she designs kits that are versatile.  With the economy the way it is... you need to stretch every dollar and with Kreens kits... you don't have to use it for it's "intended purpose"  if you take a moment and think outside of that box... like this kit "Dance"... here's a preview...

did I mention it's 35% off right now?  Well it is... Would you like to take a peak at my layouts.... aaaaah I knew you would... here they are

Hope you enjoyed reading about this newest kit as much as I enjoyed working with it... until I blog again... happy scrapping

Gosh I'm running behind

Between the storm knocking our lights out for a few days and the PET scan of my hubby (we will find out the results tomorrow)... seems I'm running behind....

I have always loved the photo I used in this next layout.  It's a photo I took of my Husband when we visited New Orleans (pre-Katrina)... so when Kreen Kreations put out the Remember kit... it felt right to use this kit for that photo.  Now this kit is really awesome for anyone from the States like I am... you can scrap about 9/11 or your 4th of July activities OR like me... you can scrap "outside of the box".

Here's the preview of the kit

and here's my layout.

SEE what I mean... it's a great kit.  I'm sure you would enjoy it.

This next kit is such a bright and happy kit and guess what?  It's FREE!  So don't miss out.  There is a multitude of layouts you can do with this kit... from play-time to birthday photos.  I bet you'll LOVE it.  It's called The Life In Color!

Here's a preview of the kit....

and here's my two layouts.

See what I mean about bright and happy.  Don't forget it's free for a limited time and don't miss out.  Hope you all have a great day AND

Happy Scrapping until I blog again.

It's not just for asian photos!

Kreen Kreations just put out another kit that very versatile.   It's called Pink Asia.  BUT wait before you click off the page - don't despair - you don't have to have photos of the far east to use this kit... Look at what I did... my layouts aren't a bit Asian but everything I used was from this kit... SO did THAT peak your interest?  OK I'll show you AND give you the link... it's on sale for 50% off right now!

I've linked my layouts.  If you like my layouts and have a moment I'd love a comment.
