I scrapped our first egg :)

I was so excited when we had our first egg.  I took about a 1/2 dozen photos and KNEW I was going to scrap about it... just as soon as I found the RIGHT kit.  Well I found it!  It's called Guess What?  Chicken Butt by Connie Prince and South meets North Studios HERE IS A LINK

What fun I had scrapping with it.  I have more photos of our chickens I plan to scrap with it so you'll see this kit again in another post I'm sure.  I also used a FREE template at the Ginger Scraps July 16-31 template challenge HERE IS A LINK

Here's my last page of the month.... hope you like it.

Until I scrap again.....

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

I like a nice desktop calendar - don't you?

And Ginger Scraps has a desktop challenge.  You get a free template and then you get to enjoy making your next month desktop.  Here is a LINK

I L-O-V-E the desktop I made for August.  I loved the kit I worked with and so enjoyed using photos I had just taken the week before on a hike at Chickamauga National Military Park.  Here is a LINK to the kit I used and a preview of it.

on to my desktop :) -- pretty isn't it?

Until I scrap again.....

It's a triple!!!

I was working on three layouts in a week period of time and had loads of fun.  I created two layouts with the Funky Christmas Ellies and Papers by Roseytoes Designs and then one layout with the Beautiful Whimsey kit by Roseytoes Designs.  I used her Serendipity templates on all three layouts.

Care to see my layouts?  OH I know you do...

Spiffing up my facebook timeline cover....

I just finished uploading my new facebook time cover and I really like it!  I used a photo I took from the top of Springer Mountain on the AT Appalachian Trail.  Even though I didn't get to hike on my 50th birthday due to illness in the family.  I did get to hike the first tiny leg of my journey this May.

The AT means so many things to me.  I've always wanted to hike it but after I had a double fusion in my lower back the AT became even MORE of a goal of mine.  I'll never be fast again, I have to take many breaks and hike with double hiking sticks... the point is I can do it!  It may not BE pretty but it's my PT.  I'm going TODAY to get maps of hiking trail close to home so I can start hiking again... to get back into shape for hopefully at least one more hike this year before the cold sets in... wish me luck.

Here is my new timeline cover....

I used the Beautiful Whimsey kit

I miss Mz Poo

yes I do...  She was with me for 14 years and died while I was staying in the hospital with Keith... I guess I'll never get over the guilt of that... I feel like I should have been with her in her last days.... I miss her so much... I dreamed about her the other night.

I created this next layout so I'd not forget that beautiful face of hers.  It was created with the Girly Girl kit by Roseytoes Designs and I used the template from the Ginger Scraps template challenge July 1 -15

Here's a peak at that kit

and here's my layout featuring my sweet, sweet Mz Poo

Esther's First Day....

The new addition to our family was delivered early this month.  She's beau-TEA-ful (that's the way I say it when I talk about Esther)!!!

I created a layout with a photo from her first day.  She wasn't sure about this new home of hers.  There was this other little mini horse that was running around like a crazy boy and then her Mommy left her with her new family.  I felt so sorry for my new girl.  This photo is of her looking around from the edge of the porch you can just see her thinking.... "should I trust these people, or not" in her face.  I'm proud to say she's settled in and Tucker... well he's still running around like a crazy boy but hopefully soon all of that will end and they will be fast friends for life and 11 months and 6 days later... we will have one more addition to our home... a little foal... but that will be for another layout :)

I hope you enjoy my layout of my girl Esther on her first day....

I used Roseytoes Designs Girly Girl kit and her template from the Bionic Girl bundle revamped Collaboration designed by Roseytoes Designs & Jen Yurko

Saying my goodbye in a layout

We have our 6 acres up for sale because we need a new roof and their are loads of medicals bills to pay off.  I wanted to keep that beautiful property to save it from everyone else.  I never wanted it to change... it's so pretty but life doesn't always give you what you want so I've done a layout to tell my Turtle Creek goodbye before someone scoops it up

I used the Thankful kit designed by Keep in Touch Designs

Isn't it lovely.  I love fall colors.  I guess I'm just an earthly girl :)

and the template mix 1 designed by Pretty In Green
I can't wait to work with the other three templates.  I liked the one I used A LOT!

Until I scrap again.....

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
