What I'm Grateful for....

I took a photo of my Husband yesterday when I found out he had gained from 114 to 128.  I was so grateful he was getting better.  See he went through chemo for cancer that had spread to his lungs but just as he entered remission he experienced a reaction from the chemo medication that he was taking for maintenance.  It was awful!  He almost died many, many times and was in the hospital 60 days.

When I took that photo... I just had to upload it for my facebook timeline photo but I didn't want it to be just the photo (because noone would know how grateful I was to see this photo!) I wanted to scrap it and then upload it.  I used the Grateful for... kit by Keep in touch designs and used a facebook freebie template designed by Peppermint Creative.

I hope you enjoy my layout because it's very special to me.  I'd like to thank Keep in touch designs for allowing me to work with her kit and I'd like to thank Peppermint Creative for that great freebie.  I wished more designers would create and design FB timeline templates.

This is the facebook timeline that I created.....

Until I scrap again.....

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

I wish I were a kid again

I'm a baby boomer and when I was growing up they didn't have "inflatables".  The Northwest Georgia Balloon Festival had LOADS of them.  This is a photo of my great-Niece taken by Frannie by Niece.  Isn't it adorable?  I worked with the Paint It kit by Lia Scrap and Blue Highway Maps template pack by Roadside designs.  I'd like to thank both designers for allowing me to work with their great designs.

Here's my layout... cute isn't she?

Here is the Paint It kit....

The rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of his hand.

Simply Good Times

My husband is recovering from a almost life ending event.  He was in the hospital for 60 days and I've lost count at how many times they told me he wasn't going to make it.... he sometimes has down times and feels like he'll never get back what he's lost so I went in search of photos that showed a really simple but good time.... that's how this Warm & Toasty layout came about.

I worked with Falling Days kit designed by Keep In Touch Designs

and Blue Highways Maps Templates by Roadside Designs.

I want to thank both of those designers for the use of their products.  I think my layout turned out really nice and it brought a smile to my Husband's face which to me was priceless.

Here's my layout.  I hope you like it.

Until I scrap again.....

I love template challenges!

OH and the template challenge at Ginger Scraps was a good one this month.  If you'd like to play along and snag a free template HERE IS THE LINK.

I used that template while working with a truly GREAT kit.  It's just out in the store today.  You've just got to go see it.  I'm planning on making another layout with this kit so don't forget to come back and check out my second layout later this upcoming weekend.

SO would you like to see a peak at this kit?  OH I know you would.  It's available at Ginger Scraps and the designer is Keep In Touch Designs.  I'd never worked with one of her kits and was so please I was allowed to work with it.  It was a pleasure scrapping with this kit.  Go check it out.  I bet you'll agree with me.  HERE IS THE LINK and here is a preview of it!
